Dr. D. Melamedov

Dr. Daniel Melamedov, Bsc, M.D., FRCS (C), FACS

Dr. Melamedov completed all of his Post-Graduate training at the University of Toronto. This includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Sciences (Human-Biology), followed by successful completion of Medical School and Residency in General Surgery.

After Residency, he practiced General Surgery in Lindsay for 3 years. His surgical practice included a wide range of surgical problems and conditions, including experience in the surgical management of Colorectal Cancer and other Gastrintestinal Tract Disorders, as well as a range of Gastrointestinal Endoscopic procedures.

Dr. Melamedov was previously on staff at the Scarborough Hospital (Grace Division) as an attending surgeon, where he practiced in the field of General Surgery. His main focus and area of interest was Surgical Oncology for Colon and Rectal Cancer. Dr. Melamedov is also fluent in both Hebrew and Russian.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In addition, he is an active member of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario, the Ontario Medical Association, the Canadian Medical Association, The Ontario Association of General Surgeons, the Canadian Association of General Surgeons, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons.
