Urea Breath Test
Description
The Urea Breath Test is a test to detect the presence of H-Pylori bacteria. During the test, the patient will be asked to exhale into a test tube, drink a solution, and then exhale into another tube. The duration of appointment may last for approximately 45 minutes.
Preparation
You must fast a minimum of 4 hours prior to your appointment. You MUST discontinue the following medications

Fee
This test is not covered by OHIP. A $120.00 fee is payable by debit or credit card prior to the appointment. HST will not be added to this fee.
